Images are transmitted in real time to your representatives or classification society’s surveyor on the surface, where the combined video images and audible footage are recorded for analysis, reporting and archiving.
Cofferdams
We build and supply underwater airlift and self-burying cofferdams by divers. These are used for the de-burial of power cables and pipelines and access to subsea structures where excavations are subject to backfilling by sediments carried by the tidal flow.
Damage Assessment for Insurance
We can locate, identify and inspect a vessel on the sea bed to confirm its status and the status of its cargo.
Debris and Seabed Clearance
Debris surveys and seabed clearance programmes as part of annual offshore subsea IRM programmes and prior to rig moves, well-head clearances and salvage operations. Inshore debris clearance works have also been carried out as part of our reservoir, harbour, river and civils inspection and maintenance programmes.
Harbour and Bridge Inspections
Working for local councils, harbour boards and authorities, we carry out quayside inspections and remedial works, identifying areas of accelerated low-water corrosion in steel-piled quayside structures, poor areas of cathodic protection, physical damage and washouts, dangerous protrusions, damage to outfall and intake structures and sea-bed scour.
Hull Cleaning
Hull cleaning by divers to reduce water drag for a more productive passage, avoiding the costs and down time of dry docks.
Marine Growth Inspection and Clearance
Many forms of underwater and splash zone marine growth clearance equipment and procedures including simple hand scrapers, hand and rotary wire brushes, HP and LP water-jetting systems with needle and fan jets and low-pressure grit-cleaning techniques.
Mooring Installation, Maintenance and Inspection
Inspection, maintenance and replacement of subsea moorings. Fendercare Marine is one of the largest distributors of subsea mooring equipment, chains and buoys with access to bases located in 15 countries. We provide topside and subsea personnel, equipment and spares to keep your facility fully operational.
Offshore Platform Annual IRM Programmes
Our team has carried out annual subsea Inspection, Repair and Maintenance programmes for many of the majors in the North Sea and Middle East. We supply the DSV, personnel and equipment to meet your requirements and the operational and project procedures to comply with your standards and government legislation, including IMCA guidelines and best industry practice.
Pipeline Inspections
Interfield and main export pipelines are subject to many problems such as scour, reduced cathodic protection, physical damage and debris. We provide inspection and survey procedures and remedial techniques including pipeline de-burial and stabilisation. Services include the installation, inspection and repair of anti-scour systems, cathodic protection, CP continuity straps, anode beds, weight coats and coatings.
Pipeline Stabilisation
Personnel and equipment for submarine pipeline stabilisation programmes, including assistance with pre and post rock-dump surveys, placement of sand bags and/or grout bags including subsea grouting operations and installation of anti-scour frond mats and concrete mats.
Pipeline Tie-ins
Our experienced dive teams and back-up personnel support submarine pipeline tie-ins, working in the air depth range and tidal waters of the Southern North Sea and West Africa.
Pipeline Metrology
Alongside pipeline and riser tie-in services, we offer a subsea metrology facility including ‘Pup Piece’ design, manufacture and test.
Pre-Purchase Surveys
Acting on behalf of purchasers we inspect and report on the condition of quayside piling and moorings prior to purchase. These surveys will include a GVI (General Visual Inspection) of the quayside above and below the water line including a video survey, ultrasonic wall thickness readings, cathodic protection surveys and scour assessments. The reports will consist of a written assessment accompanied with video footage and stills where appropriate.
Reservoir Inspections and Remedial Works
We have many years experience in working alongside panel engineers in the UK for inspection, construction and remedial works to reservoirs. We have experience of project management and provision of underwater diving and ROV services in preparing reservoirs for 1,000 year flood defence.
River and Long Sea Outfalls and Intakes
Complete facilities and project management for the inspection and replacement of long sea and river outfalls for utilities and water authorities.
Riser, 'J' and 'I' Tube Installation
Design, installation and maintenance of 'J' and 'I' tubes, based on experience in the tidal waters of the Southern North Sea and overseas.
Salvage Recovery
Salvage operations for the recovery of dropped objects from offshore rigs and platforms, assets from sunken vessels and aircraft.
SBM and SPM Inspection and Maintenance
Technical support services, personnel and equipment for the topside and underwater inspection and maintenance of SBMs and associated submarine pipelines. We are contracted to the UK Ministry of Defence for SBM inspection and maintenance in the Falkland Islands. We also subcontract personnel and equipment to other maintenance companies to assist with their individual programmes.
SBM Change Outs
We are also heavily involved with the planning and implementation of SBM change out, the most recent being that carried out in the Falkland Islands in 2010.
Scour Surveys and Remedial Works
We offer a wealth of experience and knowledge in identifying and combating scour around fixed offshore structures, pipelines and jack-up rigs. Jack-up rig spud cans are very susceptible to scour. Remedial works include rock dumping, placement of sand bags, anti-scour mats and concrete mats.
Sewage Treatment Works Inspections
Specialised underwater CCTV equipment for the monitoring of sediment movements within treatment works and dive teams for ongoing maintenance of water reservoirs including general inspection and maintenance and the design and installation of underwater reservoir aeration systems.
